Knowledge begins before the page. A question creates the direction, an Inquiry preserves the work, evidence tests its claims, review assigns authority, and an edition records what can responsibly be shared.

A generative encyclopedia

A living public memory, composed for the question at hand.

Wikipedia gave knowledge a shared public page. Sponge extends that idea toward pages that can be composed for a new question, level of explanation, or point in time while retaining the evidence-bearing knowledge beneath them.

The durable object is the path: identities that survive renaming, statements that retain context, assertions that remain attributable, evidence that can disagree, and editions that preserve their own history.
